What the  Low-Level Laser Light Treatments for Hair Loss

Low-level laser light treatments are used to stimulate the scalp so that blood flow, oxygen flow and hair cell growth is increased.

However, getting the treatments from a clinician’s office may cost you thousands of dollars during the whole duration of the treatment. In addition, you may not have enough time and patience to continually go back to the doctor’s just to get your scalp hit by a wavelength of laser light.

In such cases, you may make use of hand held low-level laser light treatments that only cost a fraction of actual laser treatments.

However, these small handheld devices are not cheap, either. Good models would cost $300 to $500, depending on the country of origin and maker. Of course, there are some ‘cheap’ hair lasers on the Internet, but these are of dubious origins and pedigree.

Each hair loss system has its own sets of benefits and drawbacks; not one drug in existence is created perfect. The same applies to medical devices that have been approved for production and shipping in the United States, and worldwide.

Benefits Of Using The Handheld System

There are three main advantages of using handheld laser systems to remedy your hair loss:

First, it’s less expensive than going to the doctor’s and you save money on gas, as well.

The second advantage lies with the form of the handheld system itself; since it’s in your hand, you can easily focus all the laser energy on your bald spots. You can also do this longer and more regularly.

Low-level lasers do not emit radiation or heat, and so your skin won’t be hurt. This is in contrast with high-powered laser, whose first task is to cut through living tissue.

Drawbacks Of Using The Handheld System

There are two main drawbacks with using a handheld low-level laser light therapy system:

The first drawback concerns the regularity of your home treatments. You may become tired of combing your scalp regularly several times per week. You may also end up forgetting that you have to comb your scalp several times a week to get maximal results with your new handheld system.

The second drawback concerns the effectiveness of the handheld system. You may not be observant enough to judge whether the device is working or not; there are no timeframes here, no minimum waiting periods. Either the devices works or it doesn’t. No matter the size of the device, it would still be emitting just one wavelength of light.

What To Expect?

With the boom of foreign capital in the past, the number of laser light sets on the market has multiplied significantly. Some handheld devices, like Androhair™, purport to do wonderful things with your scalp, skin and hair. Some are so unrecognizably plain that you would have trouble spotting them from the mess of brands available.

Nevertheless, we recommend that you purchase a type of laser light instrument that combs through your remaining hair so that the laser light actually touches your scalp. Remember, that’s the point of using the device in the first place.
