The main selling point of this product is you only have to take it once a day and you would be that much closer to leaving your wigs and plugs behind. It’s that simple. The company website asks all potential users if they are willing to try out this oral treatment for at least 1 year.
How It Work?
Propecia works in successive phases, each leading to the completion of the main goal, which is hair regrowth. According to a results timeline provided by Merck, on the first day the drug begins to work its magic on your DHT levels, lowering it so that the hair fall can begin to cease.
On the third month of use, your hair loss may begin to slow down. There would be less hair on your shower drain or bathtub drain. On the sixth month, you may already be seeing signs of new hair growth on formerly balding spots. On the ninth month, the new hair growth should already be in its maintenance phase. On the twelfth month, if nothing has happened yet, further treatment with finasteride is no longer useful.
According to the product website, 66% of the users who have used finasteride for at least 2 years had hair growth. 33% had no further hair loss and 1% had a visible reduction of hair.

Propecia user reviews have so far been good. Though some users are of course complaining about hair loss treatments in general, the product has been performing quite well in its entire run since the nineties.

The product should never be used by women. This product contains ingredients that may cause defects in the sex organs of unborn children. Crushed tablets should never ever be handled by pregnant or potentially pregnant women. Women of this status who had handled crushed tablets should immediately consult with their physicians for immediate guidance.
In addition, this product had been developed only for the treatment of mild to moderate alopecia in middle portion of the head and the top portion of the head. The product has not been proven effective to reduce baldness or grow new hair near the temples.
