Revivogen® is a natural formulation designed to deal with balding scalps

Revivogen® is a natural formulation designed to deal with the ravages of thinning hair and balding scalps. The product can help slow down the balding process; it works on both men and women.

This is in contrast with other hair loss treatments that can work either only for men or for women, depending on the concentration of the active ingredients and the selection of ingredients used.

The product had been designed by Dr. Alex Khadavi and has been created to block the source of balding itself: DHT. Revivogen® can also help stimulate the hair follicles so that new hair may emerge from once balding spots.

Revivogen® Review

How Revivogen Work?

Revivogen® works in three basic ways:

First, the product slows down the balding process so you have more hair to work with. Second, the product stimulates the follicles sot that new hair can replace the lost ones. Third, Revivogen® keeps the follicles and new hair sheathes healthy so that they would be more resistant to hair fall.

The product works for both types of pattern baldness: male pattern baldness and female pattern baldness.

The ingredients in this product are as follows:

Gamma linoleic acid

Alpha linoleic acid

Linoleic acid

Oleic acid

Azelaic acid

Vitamin B6

Zinc

Saw palmetto

Beta-sitosterol

Procyanidin oligomers

The first 4 ingredients have been derived form botanical sources and have been included to inhibit the action of 5AR or 5-alpha reductase. This enzyme interacts with testosterone to produce the DHT that causes the hair follicles to enter the death phase.

User Reviews

Revivogen® user reviews have so far been good, as we have been able to locate older user reviews from as far back as 2007. One particular user review reported that the user had already been on the Revivogen® regimen for 12 months already.

Within 3 months, the only problems that had been encountered was minimal shedding (normal for most hair loss products) and some itching (also a normal reaction). Within less than half a year, the user reported that his crown region and temple region had experienced some hair growth. The best thing about this is the hairs actually grew longer, which is vital for styling new hair.

Possible Side Effects

Revivogen® does not produce any adverse side effects, though the product website did admit that in about 2% of all its users, there was some “transient mild scalp irritation”. This simply means that the user felt some degree of itching upon using the product. From our knowledge of other topical hair loss treatments, this side effect is quite common and is often not serious enough to cause concern.

In fact, this can be categorized only as a mild side effect. Remember, this product is primarily a DHT blocker. This means its first function is to regulate the amount of abnormal hair fall from alopecia.

The positive effects can be seen within 4 to 5 weeks of use. It is within 3 to 4 months that the hair growth would be visible, as well as the thickening of the hair. The product is effective in both men and women. The usual reason for hair loss in women is overproduction of dihydrotesterone or low levels of free estrogen.

Another potential problem with the product is that it’s an organic formulation that claims to do something that many studied drugs have failed to do, which is bring back hair growth and impede the progress of alopecia or balding. Even the presence of high amounts of vitamins can be problematic during application because there is no proof that the human scalp can absorb such substances in significant amounts to effect any change in its basic biological processes. Even vitamin E, the holy grail of all skin vitamins, has not been backed up science. There’s a high probability that the vitamins would just stay on the surface of the skin.
